to the President's New Freedom Commission on Mental Health

There will be a public comment period at every meeting of the President's New Freedom Commission on Mental Health. The public comment period is an opportunity to voice your concerns directly to the Commission. • Identification and documentation of the unmet needs of people with a serious mental illness or serious emotional disturbance;

• Identification and documentation of barriers to services for people with a serious mental illness or serious emotional disturbance;
• Identification and description, including the location of innovative mental health treatments, services and technologies that are demonstratively effective and can be replicated in different settings;
• Proposal of policy options that should be implemented by the Federal, State and local governments, along with private and public providers, to:
° Integrate the use of effective treatments and services;
° Improve coordination among providers; and
° Improve community integration for people with a serious mental illness or serious emotional disturbance.
